Hey homies!

As you already, probably know, prom season has already started. And special thanks to GCSEs, we are a little late to write Prom themed posts. But will this stop us? NO. I know some of you seniors are still getting ready for one of the most special nights of your lives.

Firstly, congratulations, you have survived being a freshman, through puberty, through all of the exams you've studied everyday. Most importantly, through high school, and now, you are moving in to another exciting part of your lives!

Not if you are planning to go to Uni. Unfortunately, you will keep studying, but you can make sure you will get the payment one day.

But this isn't the topic.

And I'm talking too much, again.

What I'm trying to say is, you will have this night for once in your life with all of your high school friends. And I'm writing this post in order to give you some ideas about what you might need while you're at prom.

1. Your Lipstick and/or Moisturizer

It will be a tiring and long night, so your lips will need to stay moisturized. Plus, probably, you will eat too, which means your lipstick will probably need a re-touch. It's △⃒⃘lways a good idea to have your lipstick with you, so you can use it as needed.

Also, did you see what I did in there? Yay Potterheads!

2. Breath strips/ Gums/ Mints

It's always good to have a fresh breath, especially if you are with people.

3. Cash

Even though if you have a date who will probably pay for things if needed, make sure you'll have some money with you. It won't hurt anyone and you can't know whenever you will need some.

4. Lash Glue

This essential is for people who will wear false lashes. False lashes may need some retouch through the night, especially the inner and the outer sides. So make sure you'll have some Lash glues with you. I would recommend you to try DUO eyelash adhesives, mainly because of the size of it. Plus, it is really a good product with a small price, which is $9.00, you can find it at any Sephora stores.

5. Super Glue

This is an optional essential for those who has insecurities that their heels/jewelry will break. Just in case, you know.

6. Oil Observing Sheets

I think this is an absolute essential for prom night, especially for those who has oily skin. I'd prefer Clean&Clear ones. You can find them in any drug store for $5.49. Padding them gently on skin would be a better idea then rubbing. Otherwise your makeup can come off.

7. Perfume Samples

You will use your perfume, obviously. And you may need it again. You can't take a whole bottle of perfume with you, one more time, obviously. So it's always a good idea to use and bring with you a sample sized bottle. Good news, homies, you can go to Sephora for one, and they will give you one for free! You can ask for a perfume that you are looking for, and if they have one in a sample size, I'm sure they will happily give one to you.

8. Bobby pins

Because you will be dancing, and having fun all night, your hair won't stay the same. You may need some bobby pins to just make sure your hair makes through the night.

I don't think I really need to write your phone as an essential, because most probably you will be bringing it. My one last advice for you is, have fun and make sure it will be a night that you'll remember forever. Wishing the best of luck for you all,
                                                                                                            Sıla xx

• Hello homies! It’s been like ages since last time that I wrote blog post, blame  it on our exams. But here we are now and we are going to continue writing, cheers! Many of us imagine this magical night when we first started to school and finally it’s time for PROM!Sometimes things don’t work as it planned but  don’t worry about it here are different life hacks that will help you during prom preparation.

7-If you are running late and waited for last second to paint your nails, don’t  get panic use cooking spray to dry them.

• That's all for now,hope you enjoyed!Bye guys.

OH MY GOD GUYS! I can not describe with words, how much I missed writing! We all had exams and we didn't have any time to write, but don't worry we will cover it! ;) Aaaah it feels so good to be back at it again!

Today Homies, I'm here to help you seniors out there who has prom! Many of you might already have had their prom this year, but just in case if some of you didn't, I'm writing for you.

1. Practice your makeup. You should definitely try and see how it looks before the prom. And don't try something new the day of prom like your foundation which can make a huge difference in your makeup, you might regret it if does not look good.

2. Make a schedule. You don't want to be late to your prom, right? So plan everything before, know what you will be doing when and try to follow your schedule. Prom day, is not a day to improvise.

3. Bring comfy shoes or don't wear uncomfortable ones at all. After you dance and turn up all night, your feet will be begging you to take those high-heeled shoes off. Also, you don't have to wear them anyway if your dress is long enough to cover your shoes, wear something comfortable instead.

4. If you are not going to hair salon and doing your own hair, don't wash it the day of your prom, maybe the night before. It will much more easier to curl it or straighten it. (I'm not telling you not to shower though.)

5. If you don't have a date that is totally fine, that is a terrible excuse for missing prom. Like dude you gonna slay that outfit and have fun anyway with or without a date! Go on and bring your best friend, you will not regret it I promise.

6. Take lots of photos. You know, you might have been to a prom before, and you might go to a prom after the one you are going to go. BUT, let's be real that high school prom is the best. So don't think like 'Whatever I went this before too and I will go again.' and refuse to do it. Because after that night, all you have will be photos.

7. Things might go wrong. You know I heard so many people being late because of helping other friends and people coming late, don't do that. Helping is totally fine but put yourself first, help people who deserve your help and won't make you regret it. And if something goes wrong with your hair, dress, shoes, makeup or anything, believe no excuse is good enough to miss your prom. Stop for a minute, relax and think of a solution, search it on Google or Youtube. After that, go and have fun as much as you can.

Hope I helped, I'll see you in my next post. Bye bye! x

Hello everyone, hope 2016 has been 'your' year so far! A new year brings a lot of things with it, but it's you to decide whether they are good or not. And as the new year has officially began, we all have some revolutions, right?

Yep, you guessed it right, in this post I will give you some advices about how to achieve your resolutions!

1) Set out your own 'Success Plan' :

But.. how can you create one? Don't worry, I have a few tips for you guys!

Tip 1 - Create a mission statement

Making a 'Success Plan' would be impossible if we did not have any resolutions or goals, right? So basically start with giving yourselves some time to think about your goals this year. Then, decide what you need to do to achieve them.

Tip 2 - Create a Schedule

Create a schedule for yourselves to achieve your resolutions/goals with in a specific time and try to force yourselves to achieve them in this specific time segment.

2) Make a 'Goals Board'  :

Write a list of your resolutions/goals on a board and place it in a place that you will see everyday so you have a reminder of your goals. Just like a big agenda for your goals.

3) Stop thinking about what you did in the past :

Focus on the present and the future. Unfortunately, you can't change the past. Letting go of the past will make you feel relieved both mentally and physically. Thinking about negative things such as failures can and will discourage you. Moving on will help you to live with what you have done whether it is good or bad.

4) Start with setting smaller goals :

As you achieve your smaller goals one by one, you will see that you are getting closer to achieve the bigger ones.

5) Be Realistic :

The most surest way to fail is to make your goals/resolutions unattainable. Do not resolve to never eat fast food again, it will set you up to fail. Instead of that, try to avoid them more often that you actually do now.

6) Turn each resolution in to a habit :

Now that you have chosen your goals and set your resolutions, find things that you can do everyday to words towards them. If you do something everyday, it becomes a habit.

I hope that this post will be useful, I didn't want to make it long but you know that I like to talk..

And before I forget! Now, we also have a snapchat, twitter & instagram accounts, our username is h4lwrites.

I will see you in my next post!

Hello people! First post of the year, omg I've missed writing posts a lot. Happy to be back!

1-) Create a bucket list
Type on up and print or write a list of your goals and the things that you've always wanted to achieve or do but never did because of laziness (learning a new hobby or sport, being more kind, saving up money for something that you want etc.). Decorate it in a way that it will make you feel better, whether with full of colours or black and white. It's up to you. Hang it on your wall or put somewhere that you will see everyday and don't be afraid to add more goals.

 2-) Take care of yourself
Taking care of yourself will definitely make you feel better. Drink plenty of water, get proper amount of sleep, do face masks, take care of your body, hair etc.

3-) Exercise and eat healthy
I'm not telling you to do 100 squats for a day and to eat only vegetables. Just decrease the amount of fast food you eat a bit and go for a walk, do yoga, search for some DIY drinks and foods that are healthy but also taste good.

4-) Capture moments
Do NOT miss the moment while trying to take a picture or a video! First of all, enjoy what you are doing and then you can take pictures just to have some memories left from those moments.

5-) Keep a diary or a journal/Make a memory jar
Keeping a journal will make you to be able to look back in your life and smile. When you feel sad, read the good memories that you have written in your diary, that will make you smile. Put different little stickers to all pages that you have written, as two or more groups to see that if it is about something good or bad, so you won't accidently read some bad stories and feel even worse.

6-) Read books
Books are an escape from the real world, they are the places where you can be ANYONE or ANYTHING.
"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. -George R. R. Martin."

7-) Write books
Why not to try? To be honest with you, almost everyone fails at the first try. I've failed too. But the thing is not to give up and to stick on what you want to do. There is a clear difference between when I first started to write and now. I have improved a lot and I'm so proud. You can write a story on Wattpad, it is a website where you can read other people's stories and also write stories. Everyone starts as an amateur but then boom, you can be a proffessional author. Don't be afraid to try!

8-) Study
The thing is, if you have to study for college, you must. If you can't concentrate and don't want to study just think about your goals, having your dream job, your own house and car. Being a grown up. Sounds good, right? Yes it does. But no one have told you that it will be easy, because it won't. You can still live your life with studying for some hours. In the end, being able to say "I've made it." will make you the most proud person in the world.

9-) Travel
Travel as much as you can on the holidays if you have free times. Don't waste your days on watching neftlix, eating junk food and staying in bed. I mean you can do that too, but not every time!
"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." -St. Augustine

10-) Learn when to say NO and YES
Don't be shy to say yes, if you want to say it. Don't be shy to tell what you really think about someone or something. If you love them, tell them. If you don't like something, tell it. Be more positive, don't think about bad things, dream about some good things because dreaming is the first step of achievment.
In life, sometimes you have to say no too. Learn to say no to the people or they will hurt you. Believe me, people are cruel and they will make you upset if you don't stop them when you want to, just to be kind. No.

Hope you enjoyed the post! Oh and we have a snapchat account, our username is h4lwrites. You can also follow us on twitter and instagram they are both @h4lwrites.

So, I'll see you next week people. Bye!

Hello everyone! I know that there wasn't a new post for two weeks, it's because I was in Turkey, sorry for that. But now, I'm back. And you know what? I have some good post ideas!

So, unfortunately schools will be opening soon. And one of the things that are boring in schools are the lockers. In this post, I will be telling you some good ways to organize and decorate our lockers usefully.

1. Locker Shelf:

As a high school student, I can tell you that this is one of the most useful ideas in this post. You can find them in Target. And if you want, you can buy a locker rug for your shelf too. Which depends on your choice. These shelves are so useful. It saves a lot of space and helps you to keep your stuff organized. There are a lots of color choices. But if you'd like too, you can just buy one and paint it.

2. A Frame as a useful Decoration:

What you are going to need; A Frame that's not big, magnets (using magnet tapes will be an easier option). A picture/white, board/black board. If you don't like the color of your frame, you can paint it with an Acrylic paint.

Start by taking a frame that you liked. Just paste some magnets to the back of the frame. I have to admit it, I am in love with this DIY. It's super easy, and super cheap. After that, you can just put a picture of your choice, inside of the frame. Or a black/white board. So you won't forget your exams or anything that you mustn' t forget about! And another option is, putting a mirror in it. Once again, it depends on you! Then you can just place it on to your lockers door.

• I would suggest you to use a simple cute frame that is not too big for this DIY.

3. DIY Polaroid Collage:

What you are going to need; Acrylic paint, small wooden clothespins, and some polaroid photos (You can just print out some photos and cut it like polaroids, make sure that they are not too big.) and Magnets.

Just paint the clothespins and wait until they get dry. While you are waiting, you can cut your photos. Then, just take your magnets and paste them to the clothespins. One more time, I will suggest you to use Magnet tapes. You can just cut them depending on the amount that you need.

Tip : You can just do this DIY without pins and polaroids. Just take some pictures, paste them on to the fibre board. They both needs to have the same size. Paste the magnets on the other side of the fiber board. And you are done!

4. Magnets:

You can just use some cute magnets as decorations. Or, just paint some rocks and stick magnets behind them. Easy, and cutie! You can also put magnets behind your daily products and put them inside of your locker.

5. Wallpaper:

To add some color and personality in your locker, you can use some Locker Wall Papers. But if you couldn't find one of those, don't feel sad! I have another easy DIY for you!

Just buy a booking paper or a Marble Contact Paper, just cut it the same wide and tall with your locker so it can fit. Apply it with magnets. If you use normal tapes, it will be hard to take it of at the end of the year.

6. Locker Lightning:

Am I the only one who thinks the Lockers are just too dark? I hope not, and this will solve that problem. Yes, you read it right, I am talking about a lightning for your locker!

Start by buying a battery touch light and place it to the ceiling of the locker by the help of magnets. That's it!

Don't forget to take a look at the other posts! See you next week and love you lots.

Note: I do NOT own the pictures.

Hey people, it's Gizem! We didn't upload any posts for a week, because all of us were on holiday, sorry for that.

So, I know that being a freshman is not eays for most of us, so as a person who has been a freshman in high school, here are so tips for you.

 1. Go and have a look.
If you can go and have a look at your school before a few days it stars, and get used to it at least a bit, will help you a lot.

2. Get everything done.
Getting everything done, before the big day will help you, gain you more time to get ready and you won't worry about being late. Get your backpack done, choose what outfit you are going to wear, decide what you are going to do with your hair or face the night before.

3. Sleep early, wake up early.
You should definitely sleep early before the big day! No one wants be late on the first day of their school, right?

4. Contact with old friends.
I mean you don't have to contact with old friends because believe me you will gain some new and better ones, but of coure you can still be friends with some of your old friends. What I'm saying is, if you are scared of being alone, just ask them if you can sit together at the launch, or at the breaks.

5. Be kind.
If someone smiles at you, smile back. If someone compliments at you, compliment back. But don't be fake, if you don't like the person, but don't be rude at the same time, you know what I'm saying?

6. Get your schedule.
It is so important to get your schedule as soon as possible you arrive to your school, because then you can figure it out, where your classes are, and decrease the chance of being late on your first day. And also, you don't have to worry about if you should ask some strange people at the hallway when you have your schedule.

7. School Map
If your school gives you a map, get that as soon as possible too. Then you can have ideas about where the cafeteria, library, teacher's room etc. are. You can also have a look at the website of your school for both the map and your schedule.

8. Embarrassing yourself.
That is not a big deal! I mean come on, everyone has a funny, embarrasing story about school. I know that it sounds so bad, when you say embarrassing yourself in front of the WHOLE school. But you know what? This is high school. Maybe they will laugh at you, maybe they will stare at you, maybe a person will be kind to you, maybe a person will help to you. But the next day, everyone will forget about you. Remember, every new day is a new beginning. Even though people say that first impressions are really important, there is always a chance to change it.

Hope I helped you guys! Good luck with the first day of school, or with going back to school. I'll see you next week, bye!

1) Socialize. Socialize. Socialize.

Most of the freshmans, or students have the struggle about being alone at school. You can always gain some friends when you join a club. Don' t think that you are not interested in any of them because there are always a lot of options to choose, just try, you never know.

Don' t be so shy. I know that it could be difficult to even say "Hi.", but again, try. If it doesn' t work well with that person, talk someone else. Or just look around, you will definitely find someone as shy as you, who sits alone all the time, just go and say hey to them!

About socializing, always participate in school events. Don' t be that person who doesn' t even go to their prom or homecoming, because like why would you want to miss your prom? Who would do that?

If your school organizes camps, summer schools, join, they are so fun.

2) Be organized.

If you don' t be organized and keep every sinle worksheet, paper, etc. you have in a folder, the mess will be real. When the teacher would say "Turn in all your warm ups!" don' t be the person who can' t find anything, because they are so unorganized. Make sure that you are organized and you have all your stuff together. And a planner is helpful too.

Being organized is not only about your stuff. Being on time is important too. Sleep early, wake up early. I' m not telling you to sleep at seven o' clock, just be sure that when the next morning you wake up, you' ve had enough sleep.

3) Don' t leave everything to the last minute.

If you have homework, or projects, do it BEFORE the last day, or after you come from school to home, if your assingment is for tomorrow. Believe me, when you finish everything earlier, you will be so relaxed while others try to do it quickly because they are late. While they do their work, you can enjoy your free time.

When you have free time at school or extra time at the end of the class, while others waste their time by talking you can do your homework. If you are allowed to bring your phone, or listen to music in the extra times, put your headphones and listen to some good music. That would help you a lot if you get disturbed of other kid' s noise. Get your homeworks done, so then after school you can have a fun time.

4) Be yourself.

It is always important to be yourself around your friends. Don' t try to impress other people and forget who you are. If they are not okey with your personality, just let them go, they weren' t your real friends probably. Be friends with people who love you for who you are, and who you enjoy spending time with.

Don' t try to look perfect every day, don' t feel uncomfortable in an outfit just because to look good. Wear what you love to, and what you are comfortable in. If you enjoy doing makeup, go for it, if you enjoy wearing skirts, wear them, but not to impress someone.

5) Ask for help.

If you are having a struggle with a topic, ask your teachers, or your friends who got the topic to help you. There is nothing bad with misunderstanding something. Don' t be afraid to ask for help.

6) Bullying.

In almost every school, bullying is a big deal, it is growing and growing everyday. I have been bullied too, I remember coming from school to home, and crying for hours untill I fall asleep. People will always make fun of you, they still do make fun of me. But it' s not the same anymore. I really don' t give a shit about what people say about me, or make fun of me. I just laugh, tell them to stop, and move on. If you are being bullied, believe me, everything will be okey, every single thing will be okey, and it will get better.

If bullying gets physical, you should definitely ask your help, even when it' s not physical ask for help too. When they fight you, protect yourself but avoid fighting back.

If you see someone being bullied, help them. Please help them, because sometimes people just can' t deal all those words, don' t let those stupid people to get what they want.

7) Relationships & Breakups

High school relationships are fun, but when it comes to break ups, it's not that fun. Don' t cry over a girl or a boy, wanting to get back, thinking that you can' t live without them, because you can! You' ve had a life before them, and you will have one after them. Don' t let someone effect or control your life. Be happy because you finally learned that he or she is not the right person that you would want to spend your whole life with. It' s not easy when someone you talk everyday leaves you, especially for one reason, but all you can to do is to move on.

8) Friendships over relationships?

The idea of friendships over relationships really depends on how your both friend and girlfriend or boyfriend act. If your friend is jelaous of your relationship and wants you to breakup, tell them no. Ask for reasons, if they have a proper reason then okey, you can decide on whether you should breakup or not. But just for nothing? No, don' t ruin a relationship that you are happy with it for nothing.

Spending your whole time with your boyfriend or girlfriend is not that good too. You never know if he or she is your real love. One day you can breakup, and no one could there for you just because you choosed your friends over your relationship. That is not good. So always keep in mind that you can have a balance, spend time with both your friends and lover.

9) A friend of opposite sex?

That is literally ok. Having a friend or friends of opposite sex, is ok and good for you. If you are a girl and you have more fun with your guy friends, that is ok. If you are a boy and have more fun with your girl friends, that is ok too. Do NOT let other people to choose who your real friends are!

10) Studying.

Be attentive during class. The more you understand the material, the easier it will be to study.

Take notes. Don' t take notes of every single thing, just the important things, that would also make it easier to study.

Study groups are always so fun and helpful. But don' t forget to study just because you are together with your friends, and waste all your time talking.

Stay focused and be quited. If you talk you will disturb your teacher, the other students, and you can get in trouble too. If your friend tries to talk to you while you are listening to the teacher, tell them to stop, you can miss something really important while you talk to your friend.

Hope I helped you a bit guys, see you next week and good luck with the first day of to school!
